Benefits
Liposuction by local anesthesia

When using the local anesthesia technique, we take a large volume of a diluted local anesthetic solution and a vasoconstrictive drug. This solution is introduced into the fatty tissue under the skin. The local anesthesia technique is so effective that the patient rarely needs any other pain medication. Even the postoperative pain relief lasts for many hours, reducing the need for pain medication.

With this technique, blood vessels in the fatty tissue constrict causing significant reduction of circulation. This results in minimal blood loss during the procedure, which makes the need for a blood transfusion extremely rare.

Another benefit of using the local anesthesia technique is that the cost of the procedure is greatly reduced. The cost reductions are due to shorter hospital stays or the use of outpatient and office facilities.

During Liposuction with local anesthesia, no intravenous medications are used and all associated risks are avoided. As a result of these improvements, an anesthesiologist is not necessary for liposuction under local anesthesia.
